I developed this company/brand to cater to a young adult audience and to be gender neutral. This is why I chose a simple sans-serif (poppins) as well as a neutral-toned colour palette of earthy tones. I wanted the overall tone of each piece to be visually appealing with not only the imagery (cause come on who doesn't love pictures of cute dogs & cats), but also the use of the colour palette and typeface. With the logo, I utilized a script/hand-written typeface to constrast against the bold/heavy typeface I used throughout the other pieces. I wanted the logo to be simple with the nod to pet grooming to be subtle, which is why it's a wordmark based logo with a few extra circles above the O's in grooming to symbolize paw prints.
